I’m Steve Griswold — travel agent, podcast host, road trip enthusiast, and the proud owner of a real-life replica of the Griswold Family Truckster from National Lampoon’s Vacation. My wife Lisa and I started Pixie Vacations in 2009 from our home in Canton, Georgia, and today it has grown into one of the most recognized travel agencies for Disney, Sandals, and family vacation planning in the United States.

The Griswold Family Truckster
Yes, the last name is real, and yes — we built the car.
Inspired by the classic National Lampoon’s Vacation films, Lisa and I built a full-scale, road-legal replica of the Griswold Family Truckster — the iconic metallic-pea green station wagon from the movies. The car is built on a period-correct station wagon chassis with authentic details, and we’ve taken it on actual family road trips to theme parks, national parks, and travel events.
The Truckster became a beloved social media presence and a symbol of our brand identity — the idea that family travel is about the journey as much as the destination. We use it for marketing events, parades, and travel-themed appearances, and it’s become something of a legend in the family travel community.
